Secondo A. Williams
Secondo A. Williams, 93, of Springfield, passed away on Monday, December 10, 2007 in the Community Hospital.
He was born on September 29, 1914 in Elkins, West Virginia the son of Concezio and Rose (Colasant) Williams.
Mr. Williams was an accomplished musician and music teacher. Secondo graduated from the Detroit Conservatory of Music. He taught thousands of students accordion, organ and piano. He and his wife owned and operated Williams Music in the Sandusky area, Mansfield and Ashland, The Record Shop in Sandusky, the Park Avenue Beer Dock and the Spaghetti Bowl Restaurant in Mansfield. Secondo was a member of the Musicians Union, Master Singers of Sandusky, and lifetime member of the Lions Club, Kiwanis Club, and Knights of Columbus.
He is survived by his wife of sixty-six years, Julia (Lombardy) Williams of Springfield, daughter and son-in-law, Carol (Williams) (Frizzell) and Doug Geyer of Springfield, son, Greg, sister Jenny Sani of Sandusky, five grandchildren and their spouses: Kenny and Barbara Frizzell, Joe and Teresa Frizzell, Ed and Christi Frizzell, Matt and Yvonne Geyer, and Molly and Tyler Sagraves; and fifteen great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Primo Williams.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, December 15, 2007 at 12:00 pm in the Oakwood Village Chapel, with Deacon Norm Horstman of St. Raphael Catholic Church officiating. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 332 N.
