Onda M. Wilson
Onda M. Wilson, 85, of Springfield passed away Saturday morning, June 23, 2007 in the Ohio Masonic Home.
She was born June 26, 1921 in Darke County, the daughter of Chester B. and Sarah C. (Brown) Whipp.
Onda was a member of the Beacon Street Church of Christ in Christian Union for many years. She enjoyed sewing, reading, summers at church camp and volunteered at Elderly United for over 20 years in which she was very proud to say.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Timothy F. and Sheryl Wilson of Urbana; one grandson, Robert A. (Tammi) Wilson of Urbana; three step granddaughters, Laura, Pamela and Amanda; one great grandson; 10 step great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William H. Wilson; four sisters, Elizabeth M. Elliott, Louise Fitzsimmons, Lola M. Domaneck and Dorothy Whipp and two brothers, Robert L. and Jake Whipp.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Wednesday, June 27, 2007 from 10-11 a.m. in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME. Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Joe Dillard officiating.
Burial will follow in the Rose Hill Burial Park.
