Mildred (Henning) Weller


Mildred (Hennig) Weller, 93, passed away Monday, November 19, 2007 at 3:00 a.m.

She was born August 12, 1914 to Richard and Ethel (Byers) Hennig in Springfield, Ohio.

Millie was a member of Central United Methodist Church, Green Hedges Garden Club, Kiwanians and Elderly United. Millie volunteered in the gift shop at Community Hospital and retired from Sears Catalog Sales Department. Until her sight failed she did many types of needle work and every Christmas made an ornament for everyone in the family.

She is survived by her daughters, Barbara J., Diane L., Janice E.; her son, Richard E. (Sue) Weller; grandchildren, William K. Weller and Kari (Brett) Griffith; great grandchildren, Nicholas (Tiffany) and Tyler Weller, Logan, Ethan, Mason and Meg Griffith; great great grandchildren, Noah Groom, Owen, Lillian and Deacon Weller; sisters, Janice Plank of East Lansing, Michigan and Maxine (Jim) Steed of Hamilton, Ohio; sister-in-law, Jane Hennig of Springfield; special friends, Marylin Theurer and Nancy Gregory and many nieces and nephews.

Millie was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 64 years, William F. (Bill) in 1998; son, James W. in 2004; brother Richard Hennig and brother and sister-in-law, Merrill and Jeanne Weller.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday, November 23, 2007 from 1-2 p.m. in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME. Celebration of her life will begin at 2 p.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Julie Carmean officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made in her name to the Clark Memorial Home, 106 Kewbury Road, Springfield, Ohio 45504 where she lived happily the last three years of her life. The family would like to thank all the staff at the Clark Memorial for their loving care over the last three years and the staff of Community Mercy Hospice for their care in the last year
