Jerrold F. "Jerry" Werneske
Jerrold F. "Jerry" Werneske, 70, of Springfield, died unexpectedly Monday, April 16, 2007 in Dayton.
He was born August 11, 1936 in Aurora, Illinois the son of Frank and Helen (Pattison) Werneske.
He was an active member of the Benevolent Paternal order of the Elks Lodge 51 where he was currently serving as the Exulted Ruler. Jerry was also a member of the Disabled American Veterans, and the Union Club. He enjoyed playing golf and was an avid sports fan.
He is survived by his wife of fourteen years, Emma Jean (Kincaid) Werneske of Springfield; two daughters and sons-in-law, Lisa and John McClellan and Amy and John Abell, all of Chicago; step-son, Tim Bostic and Madonna Potter of South Vienna; step-daughter and son-in-law, Robin and Steve Looney of Springfield; seven grandcildren; and family pet, Corona.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 21, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. in the Elks Lodge 51, 126 West High Street, Springfield.
