Ferman E. Wilhelm
Ferman E. Wilhelm, 73, of Springfield, Ohio passed away Friday August 15, 2008. He was born September 25, 1934 in West Liberty, Ohio the son of the late Donald & Ruth (Coddington) Wilhelm.
He served in the Army from 1958-1963 and was a member of American Legion Post #0763 of Beavercreek, Ohio, the AMVETS Post #88 of Troy, Ohio and the North Dayton Anglers. He retired from International Harvester.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Sondra (Goings) Wilhelm; a daughter, Kathy & Dan Barker of New Carlisle; four grandchildren, Kimberly & Charlie Bodiker, Kristina & Jimmy Walsh, Brian & Jason Pund; two great grandchildren, Matthew Bodiker and James Walsh; brothers & sisters, Nancy & John Stoltz of New Carlisle, Audrey & Jack Welbaum of Casstown, Ohio, Clint & Marjorie Wilhelm of Columbus, Ohio; sister-in-laws, Patty Wilhelm of New Carlisle, Ohio and Jo Wilhelm of Johnson City, Texas; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Arnold Wilhelm.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 5-7 p.m. Sunday, August 17, 2008, at the TROSTEL, CHAPMAN, DUNBAR & FRALEY FUNERAL HOME, New Carlisle, Ohio. Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 18, 2008 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at New Carlisle Cemetery.
