Corinne N. Wetherbee


Corinne N. Wetherbee, 93, of Springfield, Ohio, passed away on Friday morning, August 17, 2007 after a brief illness in the Mercy Medical Center. She was born on May 16, 1914 in Springfield the daughter of Allan and Corinne (Ort) Nolte.

She was a Charter member of the Junior Service League, active with the American Cancer Society, Monday Afternoon Club, Young Women's Mission, Springfield Museum of Art, and the Covenant Presbyterian Church.

She is survived by three daughters: Sally and Tom Ocasek of Honolulu, Hawaii; Patti and Doug Grim of Terre Haute, Indiana; Kitty Wildman and Walt Wildman of Springfield; ten grandchildren and their spouses: Mike and Charmaine Ocasek, Greg Ocasek, Fred and Jennifer Grim, Scooter and Heidi Grim, Cori and Pat Carney, Renee' and Greg Bishop, Sallee and John Collett, Sally and Andy Hackett, Jamie and Kristin Wildman, and Danny Wildman, twenty-five great grandchildren, and two nieces, Susan Dunham and Kit Morris. She was preceded in death by several loved ones.

A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family in Ferncliff Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society, 5201 Urbana Rd., Springfield, OH 45503 or the donor's favorite charity.

The family is being served by the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME. One of the last things Corinne said was, "I want to make the world a better place." And she did.
