Bernard C. Wahlberg


Bernard C. Wahlberg, 91, of Springfield passed away Wednesday, June 4, 2008 in Springfield Regional Medical Center Fountain Campus.

He was born March 20, 1917 in Superior, Wisconsin the son of Bernard and Milda (Sandberg) Wahlberg.

Bernard lived most of his life in Wisconsin and was retired from the Steel Industry. He moved to Springfield in 1995 and was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose #536.

He is survived by his wife of thirty-five years Helen (Cydrus) Rutherford Wahlberg of Springfield; one daughter Bonnie Wahlberg of Gilbert, Arizona; granddaughter Dani (Chris) Lutes of Chandler, Arizona; two great granddaughters Erin and Ashley Lutes; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by three brothers Herbert, Eric and Clarence Wahlberg; a sister Florence Stephen.

Friends may call Saturday from 1:30-2:30 PM. in the RICHARDS, RAFF & DUNBAR MEMORIAL HOME. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2:30 PM. in the Memorial Home with Rev. Orbie Estep officiating. Interment will be in Rose Hill Mausoleum.
