Bernice Dorothy Taylor


Bernice Dorothy Taylor was born August 21, 1919 in Chattanooga, Tennessee. She was the eldest daughter of Robert and Rosa (Scruggs) Glenn. Bernice had been employed at WPAFB and Lacey's Department Store.

She leaves to cherish her memory her daughters; Rosalind Soles, Theresa Williams and Denise (David) House, 8 grandchildren; Tameka (Columbus) Soles-Williams, Carlita, Corey and Colleen Williams, David Jr., Matthew and Aaron House and Jordan Guerry, 7 great grandchildren; Corielle, Corey Jr. and Coriea Williams, Columbus Jr., Cameron, Conlin and Taylor Williams, three brothers-in-law; William (Frances) Taylor, Richard Taylor and Ray Long, one aunt; Mabel Scruggs and a host of other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband; Ross Taylor, sister; Christina Edmundson and her daughter; Letitia Guerry.

Visitation will be Friday from 5-7 p.m. in Covenant United Methodist Church, with the family present at from 6-7 p.m. Funeral services will follow in the church at 7 p.m. Burial in Rose Hill Burial Park on Saturday at 10 a.m.
