Pamela S. Smith
Pamela S. Smith, 47, of Springfield, died at 10:10 p.m. Tuesday June 26, 2007 in Community Hospital.
She was born October 10, 1959 in Cincinnati, OH to Dr. Richard H. and Roslyn (Leedy) Evans.
Pam had served as the head basketball coach at Wittenberg University for the past 22 years and more recently also served as the Associate Athletic Director there.
Survivors in addition to her parents of Cincinnati include; her husband, Roger T. Smith; 3 brothers, Scott (Melinda) Evans, Tom (Sarah) Evans and Bob (Linda) Evans all of Cincinnati; brother in law, Chris Joseph, Dayton, OH; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. A sister, Susan Joseph preceded her in death.
Friends may call in the Conroy Funeral Home from 3 to 7 p.m. Saturday. A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday in Weaver Chapel at Wittenberg University with Pastors Rachel Tune and Anders Tune officiating. Committal service will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday in Spring Grove Cemetery, Cincinnati, OH. Memorial donations may be made to the Women's Basketball Program c/o Wittenberg University.
