Rev. Dr. Jerry D. Stinger

Rev. and Dr. Jerry D. Stinger, beloved husband, father, grandfather and pastor went to be with his Lord and Savior on December 25, 2007.

Jerry was born on August 3, 1944 to Walter and Ethel Stinger. He graduated from Fairmount (IN) High School in 1962. He earned his Bachelor's degree from Midwestern Baptist College, a Master's degree from Hyles Anderson College, and a PhD from the School of the Scriptures. He pastored in Lafayette, IN, Elkland, MO, and served as the Pastor at Victory Baptist Church in Springfield, OH, from 1992 until present and he taught school for many years. He also served in the US Army.

He is preceded in death by his mother, and 1 grandson, Michael Stinger. He is survived by his high school sweetheart of 44 years, Alice Jean Milspaugh; 5 children, Jerry A. (Holly) Stinger, Mark (Christie) Stinger, Patty (Sven) Larson, David (Melinda) Stinger, and Daniel (DeAnn) Stinger; 14 grandchildren; and 1 great-grandchild.

Visitation will be held on Friday, December 28, 2007 from 5-8 PM at JACKSON LYTLE WILLIAMS FUNERAL HOME - SPRINGFIELD, with funeral service on Saturday, December 29, 2007 at 10 AM at Victory Baptist Church, 2691 W. Possum Rd. Interment to follow at Ferncliff Cemetery.
