Eloise Studebaker


Eloise Studebaker, 88, of Fairborn, Ohio, formerly of New Carlisle passed away Wednesday December 10, 2008 at Miami Valley Hospital.

She was born on June 17, 1920, the daughter of the late Marcus M. and Jennie (Bradshaw) Myers.

Eloise graduated from Springfield High School and The Ohio State University. Over the years she was active in the Ladies Aid at both Donnels Creek and New Carlisle C.O.B., Sunday School teacher, 4-H advisor, poll worker, member of the Summit Red Hat Society and was an avid quilter.

She is survived by James (Beverly) Barnhart, Janice Cook and Jane (Terry) Johnson; grandchildren, Tony (Teresa) Barnhart, Jamee (Brendan) Spatz, Kelli (Dusty) White, Cindi Cook, Melanie (Bill) Walsh, Brent (Jodi), Melinda Jill & Ryan Johnson and Renee (Merle) Cox; ten great grandchildren; brother, Marcus Myers; sister-in-law, Vera Myers; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husbands, Wilfred Barnhart & Lester Studebaker; brothers, Carroll David Myers and Paul Myers.

A gathering of family and friends will be held 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, December 16, 2008 at the TROSTEL, CHAPMAN, DUNBAR & FRALEY FUNERAL HOME, New Carlisle, Ohio. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 17, 2008 at the New Carlisle Church of the Brethren with Dr. Andrew J.O. Wright officiating. Burial will follow in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.
