Everett F. Sherwood
Everett F. Sherwood, 71, of Springfield passed away Monday, February 18, 2008 in the Springfield Regional Medical Center-Fountain Campus.
He was born December 10, 1936 in Springfield, the son of Walter J. and Lucille (Weese) Sherwood.
Everett was a graduate of Northeastern High School in 1956. He was a veteran of the Army National Guard and retired from SPECO after 29 years of service. He was a founder member and past president of the Old Timers Club in Xenia and honorary member of the Miami Valley Steam Thrashers and a member of the Mad River Steam Show.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 51 years, Norma J. (Boring) Sherwood; one son, Everett E. Sherwood of Springfield; two sisters, Nancy Sherwood of Springfield and Anna Marie Wendling of Huber Heights, Ohio and several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law, Ronald Wendling.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Thursday, February 21, 2008 from 5-8 p.m. in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME. The Old Timers Club will hold a service for Everett at 7:30 p.m.
Funeral services will be held on Friday at 10 a.m. in the funeral home.
Entombment will follow in the Rose Hill Mausoleum.
