Edward M. Sanders
Edward M. Sanders, 54, of Springfield, died Thursday October 18, 2007 in Mercy Medical Center.
He was born July 30, 1953 in Springfield, Ohio, the son of Edward R. Sanders and Mary L. "Wheezzer" Picard. He worked for Navistar and retired after thirty-five years of service. He was a member of the United Auto Workers Local 402. Ed ran the Young American Bowling Alliance (Y.A.B.A.) League at Shamrock Lanes for many years. He was former owner of Bowlers Edge Pro Shop.
Survivors include his wife of sixteen years Cheri (Higbee) Sanders; son, Isaac Sanders (Samantha Mitchem); daughter, Cameren Sanders; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Edie and Rick Vince, Mary and Steve Hazlett; three grandchildren; Jacob, Cody, and Jaylen; father-in-law, Russ (Balinda) Higbee; mother-in-law, Teresa Higbee; one niece, four nephews, three great-nieces; several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and step-father, Dean Picard.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME, where funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday October 23, 2007. Burial will be in Vale Cemetery.
