William T. "Bill" Rinehart


William T. "Bill" Rinehart, lovingly called Grandpa by his family and many friends died December 24, 2007 in the home of his daughter, Laura.

We were blessed with his strength of character, his wisdom and guidance and his deep love of family.

He was born July 29, 1911 the son of Frank and Laura (McJilton) Rinehart in Bethel Twp Clark County, where he lived for 96 years.

He worked 19 years for The Railway Express Company, was a dairy and turkey farmer for 30 years, worked for the Sheley and the Bowman-Landes turkey farms. His retirement years included 20 years in Florida with family and many new friends, 30 years of stock investing and had an avid interest in sports. He was a member of the Grange, Farm Bureau, Donnelsville Lions Club, Jr OUAM and the Donnelsville Lutheran Church.

He is survived by five daughters, one daughter-in-law, and three sons-in-law; Laura Bock of New Carlisle, Judy (Jim) Young of Port St. Lucie, Florida, Merrillyn (Bill) Rees of New Carlisle, Sandy Rinehart of Siesta Key, Florida, Molly Neher of Dayton, and Dede (Jim) Beher of Wabash, Indiana, 15 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 61 years Dorothy (Weimer) Rinehart, his son W. Thomas Rinehart; grandson, Jerry Bock and two sons-in-law Malcolm Bock and A.J. Neher.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 5-8 PM Friday, December 28, 2007 at the Trostel, Chapman, Dunbar and Fraley Funeral Home, New Carlisle, Ohio. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, December 29, 2007 at the funeral home with burial following at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.
