Sharon E. Rosencrans
Sharon E. Rosencrans, 70, of Springfield, passed away following a courageous battle with ovarian cancer on Monday, July 30, 2007 in the Forest Glen Health Campus. She was born on November 29, 1936 in Brookville, Ohio the daughter of Dale and Ruth (Lamb)
Miller.
She graduated from Wittenberg University where she met her husband of 46 years, Bob "Rosy" Rosencrans who preceded her in death on August 18, 2003. Sharon retired from the Springfield City Schools with over twenty years of teaching Elementary Physical Education and was formerly co-owner of Mike and Rosy's Deli. She was also a member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church.
Sharon was a loving mother to her three daughters and sons-in-law: Amy and Mark Dean of Athens, Ohio; Beth and Pat Delaney of Springfield; and Julie and Doug Rastatter of Springfield, and loving grandmother to eight grandchildren: Megan and Kyle Dean, Molly, Alyssa, and Shannon Delaney, Gabe, Hannah, and Abby Rastatter. She is also survived by one brother, Kent W. Miller of Sarasota, Florida, and many special friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, four infant children, and husband.
A celebration of Sharon's life will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, August 2, 2007 in the Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1801 St. Paris Pike, Springfield. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation for the compassion and care shown by the nurses and staff at Forest Glen Health Campus.
