Ruby Rowland


Ruby Rowland, of Enon, passed away on September 16th in Mercy Medical Center.

She was born Ruby Dell Cantrell on June 27, 1931 to Olva and Flora Bell Cantrell in Redbush, Kentucky.

Ruby became a member of the Bethel United Baptist Church in Flat Gap, Kentucky at the age of 14. She was married to her loving husband, Joe, on December 9, 1949.

Ruby is preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Gay, and a brother, Author Clay. She is survived by her husband, Joe Rowland, of Enon, four sons and two daughters-in-law, Bill of Enon, Sam of Fairborn, Danny (Debbie) of Xenia and John (Donna) of Donnelsville, two daughters and a son-in-law, Kathy of Enon and Connie (Steve) Marsh of Parker, Colorado, nine grandchildren, Ruby (Kenny) , Vicki (Kevin) David (Amanda) Danielle, Renee, Joseph, Emma, Jimmy and Noah, eight great grandchildren, Samantha, Jacob, Sarah, Kaleb, Madison, Lily, Hadley, and Alexander, two brothers, Ernie and Eudell Cantrell of Flat Gap, Kentucky, a sister, Nola Rowland of Fuget, Kentucky. She also leaves behind brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends to cherish her memory.

Funeral Services will be conducted 11:00 am Wednesday, September 19, 2007 in the Miami Valley United Baptist Church, Fairborn, with Elder Freddie Preston and Elder Eugene Wells officiating. Burial will follow the service in Enon Cemetery, Enon. Family and friends may visit Tuesday from 5-8pm in Adkins Funeral Home, Enon.
