Robert C. Reid

Robert C. Reid, 84, of Springfield, beloved husband, father, and grandfather passed away in his home on June 8, 2007, following his battle with cancer. He was extremely proud to have served his country. Bob completed thirty-five missions in the air war over Germany as a pilot of a B-17 with the 457th Bomber Group. He retired from Frigidaire of Dayton as a design engineer and was recognized for patents received on behalf of Frigidaire.

He was preceded in death by the love of his life, Eileen (Cain) Reid. Robert is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Perry Holt of Florida; two sons and daughters-in-law: Richard and Lynnette Reid and Robert and Teresa Reid all of Springfield; five grandchildren: Suzanne, Ryan, Sarah, Kimberly, and Allison.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Tuesday, June 12, 2007 from 5-8 pm in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME.
