Paul Ramsey


Paul Ramsey, formerly of The United States Marine Corps, reported to his last duty station July 13, 2007.

A Springfield native, he was born in 1921 to Clinton and Sarah. He is preceded in death by his wife Gladys, brothers Clinton, Claude, and John.

Survivors include a son William, grandson Samuel, a sister Pauline, and several nieces. After serving in five campaigns with the Marine Corps' 1st Marine Division in World World II, he returned home to retire from Navistar after 36 years of service and has served with the Moorefield Township Fire Department; where donations may be made in lieu of flowers.

The funeral ceremony will be held at 2pm Wednesday with visitation one hour prior to the service at THE JONES KENNEY ZECHMAN Funeral Home. Final interment will be at Ferncliff Cemetery following the service.
