George William Peck
George William Peck, 90, of Springfield, died at 12:35 a.m. Sunday, October 19, 2008, in Forest Glen Health Campus following three week's of poor health.
He was born in Springfield on February 25, 1918, to Enos and Martha Peck. He retired from International Harvester in 1975 after 32 years of service. He was a 60 year member of Anthony Lodge 455 F. & A.M. and Scottish Rite Valley of Dayton.
Survivors include one sister, Alice Gaston; one brother, Paul Peck; two children, Vicki (Jeff) Berg of Springfield and Gary (Dorcas) Peck of South Vienna; daughter-in-law, Connie Peck; six grandchildren, Allison Peck, Aaron Peck, Jeremy (Audry) Berg, Angela (Mike) Biddle, Mitzi (Howard) Tyree, Justin Peck and three great grandchildren, Alex Peck, Austin Peck and Colton Peck.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Victory; son, George Douglas; two brother's, Robert and Everett and three sister's, Evelyn, Nellie and Burnett.
Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday in CONROY FUNERAL HOME with a Masonic Service at 6:45 p.m. His funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home with Rev. Dene Anstine officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Burial Park.
