Eloise Pyles

Eloise Pyles, 89, of Springfield died Tuesday, October 9, 2007 in Eaglewood Care Center following a short illness.

She was born March 5, 1918 in Springfield the daughter of Floyd T. and June (Mayberry) Eakman.

Mrs. Pyles was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-two years, Jesse Arthur "Art" Pyles in 1998.

Eloise had worked at Crowell-Collier and then assisted Art in the operation of the many family businesses. She was a member of Emory Chapel United Methodist Church.

She is survived by one sister Pauline V. Kabbes and one sister in law Betty Eakman both of Springfield; several nieces and nephews including John Luallen who was her caregiver, Tom Luallen, Mike, Tom and Dee Dee Kabbes, June Doyle, Debra Buchanan, Tom and Jim Eakman and Karen Little.

In addition to her husband Art, she was preceded in death by two brothers Waldo and Harold Eakman; two sisters June Luallen and Florence "Bo" Eakman.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2:30 PM. in the Chapel at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens with Pastor Robert Scott officiating. The family will receive visitors in the chapel for a half hour prior to the service. The family is being served by RICHARDS, RAFF & DUNBAR MEMORIAL HOME.
