Stephen D. McDonald

Stephen D. McDonald, 54, of Springfield, went to be with his Lord Tuesday afternoon, August 14, 2007 following a lengthy illness.

He was born in Springfield on July 27, 1953 the son of H.E. "Mac" and Norma M. (Cox) McDonald.

Steve was a 1971 graduate of Springfield North High School and Clark County JVS. Following high school he enlisted in the United States Air Force and served during the Vietnam Era.

He was a loving son to his mother with whom he made his home; a dear brother to Carol Payton, Mark (Lisa) McDonald and Brenda McCann all of Springfield; and loving uncle to many nieces and nephews in Springfield and one in Evans, Georgia. He was dearly loved by all his family.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Mike Surgenor officiating. A gathering of family and friends will be held one hour to the service. Burial will be in Rose Hill Burial Park.
