Richard "Dick" Henry McDonald

Richard "Dick" Henry McDonald, 71, of Springfield went home to be with the Lord Monday morning, October 8, 2007 in the Forest Glen Health Campus.

He was born May 26, 1936 in Springfield, the son of William Roscoe and Vedah C. (Adams) McDonald.

Dick was a Sunday School Teacher, Deacon, avid sports fan but most of all a very loving and caring husband, father and grandfather.

Survivors include his loving wife, Carolyne (Williams) McDonald of Springfield; one daughter and son-in-law, Chrys and Terry Runnels of Summersville, Kentucky; two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Annette McDonald and Nolan "Bill" and Faith McDonald all of Springfield; one brother and sister-in-law, William and Donna McDonald of Springfield; seven grandchildren, Timothy, Andrea, Courtney, Nick, Chris, Ashley and Amanda; one great granddaughter, Baylee and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Wednesday, October 10, 2007 from 5-8 p.m. in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 1 p.m. in Emmanuel's Promise, 2420 East Home Road, Springfield, Ohio with Pastor Walter Mason officiating.

Burial will follow in the Rose Hill Burial Park.
