Faye E. Morrison


Faye E. Morrison, 76, of Springfield, died Thursday evening, May 15, 2008 in Springfield Regional Medical Center, E. High Campus.

She was born in Springfield on February 26, 1932 the daughter of John F. and Dorothy L. (Johnson) Collins.

Faye was a member of First Lutheran Church and the board of directors of the Friends of the Clark County Library.

She is survived by three children and spouses, William M. "Skip" and Loretta Morrison of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Rebecca E. "Becky" and Dr. Kevin Strange of Nashville, Tennessee, and Brian Morrison with whom she made her home; four grandchildren, Jeremy (Korinne) Morrison of Cincinnati, Christopher Morrison of Cincinnati, Evan Poole of Ft. Bragg, North Carolina, and Jenna Poole of Nashville; two sisters, Connie Lisec of Fairfield, California and Linda (James) Draffin of Gainesville, Georgia; and two brothers, John P. "Jack" Collins of Huber Heights and Jeffery (Joi) Collins of Columbia, Maryland. Also surviving is a sister-in-law, Dorothy Young of Springfield; a brother-in-law, William Sims of Springfield; many nieces, nephews, cousins and their families.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William J. "Doc" Morrison in 1989; and a sister, Marjorie Sims in 2003.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home with her son, Skip Morrison and her nephew, Matthew McNelly officiating.

Burial will be in Ferncliff Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
