Dennis W. MacKay


Dennis W. MacKay, 54, of Springfield, died unexpectedly at 10:11 p.m. Sunday, June 17, 2007 in the emergency room of Mercy Medical Center.

He was born December 5, 1952 in St. Boniface, Manitoba, Canada the son of Donald and Nellie (Polkosnik) MacKay, Jr. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and a veteran of the U.S. Army.

In addition to his mother of Sparks, Nevada, he is survived by his wife, Pamela S. (McCain); five children and spouses, Dennis and Becky MacKay, Jr., MaryAlice and Joe LaCerais, Catherine and Ty Stoddard, Amanda MacKay and Caleb MacKay all of Springfield; two brothers and spouses, Donald and Ruth MacKay, III of Minot, North Dakota and Ramsey and Caroline MacKay of Sparks, Nevada; eight grandchildren, Catrina, Joey, Ashley, Lance, Garrett, Hailey, Eli and Kira and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Friday in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and one hour prior to the funeral service in the church at 10:30 a.m. Saturday. Burial will be in Ferncliff Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by the CONROY FUNERAL HOME.
