Charles A. Marshall
Charles A. "Charlie" Marshall, 78, of New Carlisle, Ohio passed away Thursday April 17, 2008.
He was born August 9, 1929 in Willard, Kentucky the son of the late Charles O. & Lillie Marshall.
He was a U.S. Marine Corp. veteran of the Korean Conflict recipient of the Purple Heart. He was a lifetime member of AMVETS Post 148, and was an avid bowler for 40 plus years. He was a retired carpenter from Lathers Local & Local 104, Dayton, Ohio.
He is survived by a daughter, Connie Floretta Marshall; a son, Charles (Bub) & Barb Marshall; grandchildren, Ashley & Michael Harwood, Kristin Marshall all of New Carlisle; two brothers, Leonard & Gail Marshall of New Carlisle, Frankie Marshall of Florida; two sisters, Maxine Potter of Florida, Izetta Jackson of Kentucky; numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Pauline; a sister, Lydia Kitchen.
A gathering of family and friends will be 4-6 p.m. Monday April 21, 2008 at the TROSTEL, CHAPMAN, DUNBAR & FRALEY FUNERAL Home, New Carlisle, Ohio with funeral service at 6 p.m. in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be sent to American Cancer Society, 2808 Reading Road, Cincinnati, Ohio 45206.
