Juanita J. Landaker


Juanita J. "Jean" Landaker, 84, of Springfield died at 3:14 p.m. Wednesday, October 29, 2008 in Springfield Regional Medical Center High Street Campus. She was born June 8, 1924 the daughter of Herbert and Grace (Pence) James.

She had been employed as a nurse for Dr. Smith, Delaware, Ohio for several years. She was a volunteer at St. Vincent DePaul for many years.

Survivors include five children and spouses, Carolyn Aleshire Davis, Worthington, OH, James and Rena Aleshire, Lima, OH, Preston Aleshire, Powell, OH, Linda and Robert Rude, Springfield, OH, Douglas and Karen Aleshire, Cincinnati, OH; two step-sons and spouse, Larry and Betsy Landaker, Austin, TX, Peter Landaker, Dayton, OH; sister-in-law, Dorothy James, Springfield; seventeen grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Special friends including Jack and Barb Harkins as well as her many friends at St. Vincent DePaul.

Jean was preceded in death by her husband Robert in 1999, daughter Connie Blumenschein, three brothers Willis, William and Herbert James Jr.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday in the Conroy Funeral Home with Deacon Norm Horstman officiating. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Vincent DePaul Society or Susan G. Komen for the Cure, 5005 LBJ Fwy, Ste.250, Dallas, Texas 75244.
