Helen Lindsay


Helen "Virginia" (Dillahunt) Lindsay, 85, of Springfield, passed away at 2:15 PM on Saturday, November 1, 2008 in the Ohio Masonic Home.

She was born May 22, 1923 in Springfield, Ohio, the daughter of Fred and Hattie (Brookie) Dillahunt. Virginia was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. She was retired from Cooper Industries and enjoyed oil painting , water colors and gardening.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband; John A. Lindsay, her brothers; Edwin, Fred and Stanley E. Dillahunt and her sister; Florence Kiblinger.

She is survived by sister-in-law Vesta E. Dillahunt, Springfield, nieces; Carol Clabaugh, Springfield, Betsy Roybal, Las Vegas, Nevada, Kay Ray, Phoenix, Arizona, Judy Kurtz, Springfield, Karen Denen, Hot Springs, Arkansas; nephews; Stanley A. Dillahunt, Urbana, Edwin W. Dillahunt, Roy A. Dillahunt of Springfield, Ronald Dillahunt, Antigo, Wisconsin, Raymond Dillahunt, St. Germaine, Wisconsin.

At Mrs. Lindsay's request, there will be no visitation or services. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association. Arrangements are being handled by the JONES-KENNEY-ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME.
