Esta Mae Louthan


Esta Mae Louthan, 97, of Springfield, died Sunday December 14, 2008 in Villa Springfield. She was born January 5, 1911, the daughter of William Edward and Anna Fern (Sager) Zerkle.

Esta is the last of nine children in her family. She was a past member of the VFW Post 1031 and the Moose Lodge. Esta was an avid bowler.

Survivors include several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband John Dow Louthan; eight brothers and sisters.

A gathering and friends will be held Sunday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME, where funeral services will held at 1 p.m. Monday December 22, 2008 with Pastor Walter Mock of Tremont United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Tremont City.
