Edith M. Lewe


Edith M. (Parsons) Lewe, 88, of Springfield, died at 6:45 p.m. on Sunday, August 3, 2008 in Oakwood Village.

She was born July 11, 1920 in Urbana, Ohio the daughter of Frank and Teresa (Mazza) Roberts. She was a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church.

Survivors include eight children, Virginia Haack, Florida, Clyde A. Parsons, Fairborn, Michael A. Parsons, Reno, Nevada, Claudette Russell, Sacramento, California, Mary Angela Fowler, Sarasota, Florida, Arlene Dray, Tallahassee, Florida, Sheila Lavelle, Springfield and Celia E. Parsons (Link), Indianapolis; one brother, Tom Roberts, Piqua; 11 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband John C. Lewe in 1998, three brothers and two sisters.

Friends may call from 5 to 7 on Tuesday in the Conroy Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday in St. Bernard Catholic Church. Entombment will be in St. Bernard Mausoleum. Memorial donations may be made to St. Bernard Catholic Church.
