Donald Long
Donald Long, 75, of Huber Heights, Ohio passed away Tuesday October 9, 2007.
He was born June 20, 1932 in South Vienna, Ohio the son of the late Walter & Doris (Stewart) Long. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean Conflict. He retired after 39 years from Reynolds & Reynolds. He was a member and past commander of the American Legion Post #675 and AmVets. He was a member of Memorial United Church of Christ. He graduated from Olive Branch (Tecumseh) in 1950.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Marijane (Brown) Long; two sons, Donald G. & Victoria Long of Dayton, Ohio, Richard S. Long of Columbus, Ohio; three grandchildren, Elizabeth, Claire and Will Long; sisters-in-law, Sue Ludwig and Nancy Kersey; nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by stepmother, Stefania Long.
A gathering of family and friends will be held 6-8 p.m. Friday October 12, 2007 at the TROSTEL, CHAPMAN, DUNBAR & FRALEY FUNERAL HOME, New Carlisle, Ohio. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at New Carlisle Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contribution may be made to the Heart or Lung Association.
