Clarence E. Lake
Clarence E. Lake, 93, of Springfield, passed away Monday, June 30, 2008. He was born on September 8, 1914, son of John and Eva (Dye) Lake.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Bernadene (Hyser) Lake of Springfield, Ohio; daughter, Rita M. and husband Larry Mullins, of Mechanicsburg, Ohio; grandchildren, Jason E. and wife Patty Friesner of Lancaster, Ohio, Amy M. and husband Jed Hines of Lancaster Ohio, Allison N. Mullins, and Krystin K. Mullins of Springfield, Ohio; great-grandchildren, Zachary E. Friesner, Kylie J. Friesner, Madison L. Friesner, Aubrey C. Friesner, and J.Tyler Hines all of Lancaster, Ohio; special nephew, Allen Temple; special sisters-in-law, Mary and husband Marlin Reynolds and Anna Temple all of Springfield, Ohio; and numerous other nieces, nephews, and friends.
He is preceded in death by his daughter, Audrey J. Friesner; 4 brothers, Seldon, Alfred, Roy, and Lee "Jack" Lake; and 3 sisters, Mary Devore, Ann Lane, and Gladys Howard.
Clarence was veteran of the Army and served in WWII. He was also a cabinet maker for Buckeye Cabinets and worked for Speco Engineering for 10 years. He had a passion for gardening and spent much of his free time woodworking.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 5, 2008 from 10AM until time of service at 12 PM at JACKSON LYTLE WILLIAMS FUNERAL HOME - SPRINGFIELD. Pastor Scott Fetter officiating. Interment to follow at Vale Cemetery.
