Phillip Lee Kneisley


Phillip Lee Kneisley, 80, of Springfield, died Tuesday morning, December 25, 2007 in the Ohio Masonic Home following a brief illness.

He was born in Buck Township, Hardin County, Ohio the son of Ted R. and Agnes C. (Lee) Kneisley.

Phil attended Springfield High School and served his country in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He worked his entire life in the construction trade that he loved so much. He was a member of Clark Lodge 101 F. & A.M.

He is survived by a brother, Roger (Janice) Kneisley of Jacksonville, North Carolina; brother-in-law, Al (Henrietta) Bean of Springfield; sister-in-law, Marge Kneisley of Springfield; nieces and nephews, Charlotte Chaffin, Ted Kneisley, Nick Kneisley, Becki Bean, Barbi Bean, Jeff Kneisley, Robin Kneisley, and Brett Kneisley; and many great and great-great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Gene Kneisley; sister, Luanne Bean; and a niece, Candice Bean.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 4-8 p.m. Friday in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME.

A private funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family.

Burial will be in Ferncliff Cemetery.
