Annah R. Jackson
Annah R. Jackson, 68 of Springfield, passed away on Tuesday, July 31, 2007 in the St. John's Center.
She was born on May 30, 1939 in Wausau, Wisconsin the daughter of Henry and Rose (Spiegel) Jackson.
Her passion and occupation in life was music. She was an accomplished violinist playing in orchestras all over the country. After graduating high school in Wausau she went to Capital University in Columbus where she graduated with a BA in Music Education and completed her Masters education in music at the University of Wisconsin. Annah also studied at the Domaine School for conducting in Maine. She taught Orchestra and Strings in Colorado, Wisconsin, Maine, and retired in North Carolina. She was a certified Suzuki Instructor teaching children violin as young as three years. Annah enjoyed traveling.
She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Ken Rush of Springfield; two brothers and sisters-in-law: David and Carol Jackson of Mequon, Wisconsin, and Joel and Betty Jackson of Monroe, North Carolina; three nieces: Jennifer, Emily, and Julia, and one nephew, William. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Family and friends are invited to gather from 4-6 pm on Friday, August 3, 2007 in the home of Mary and Ken Rush, 220 N. Broadmoor, Springfield. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 10:30 am in the Good Shepherd Evangelical Lutheran Church, 712 North Fountain Ave., Springfield, with Pastor Bill McKee officiating. Friends may also call one hour prior to the time of service.
Burial will be in Ferncliff Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Good Shepherd Music Fund, 712 N. Fountain Ave., Springfield, OH 45504. The family in being served by the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME.
