Stephen D. Haemmerle
Stephen D. Haemmerle, 26, of Springfield, died at 1:05 p.m. Sunday July 29, 2007 in Children's Hospital, Columbus, OH as a result from Cystic Fibrosis.
He was born August 16, 1980 in Springfield, OH to Daniel A. and Rosemary (Eifert) Haemmerle.
Stephen touched the lives of all he met with his spirit, kind heart and sense of humor. He was a science teacher at Possum Middle School for the past 4 years. He was a 1999 graduate of Catholic Central High School and 2003 graduate of Wittenberg University where he was a member of Delta Tau Delta Fraternity.
Survivors in addition to his parents of Springfield include a brother in law, Matthew Krumanaker, Cincinnati, OH; maternal grandmother, Elizabeth Eifert, Dayton; paternal grandmother, Marcella Haemmerle, Springfield; many loving and supportive aunts, uncles, cousins and friend; and a special appreciation to the Poling family. His sister, Janice Krumanaker on May 18, 2007, preceded him in death.
Friends may call in the Conroy Funeral Home from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday in St. Raphael Church with Fr. Jerry Haemmerle officiating. Burial will be in Ferncliff Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
