Leonard L. "Babe" Haley
Leonard L. "Babe" Haley, 82, of Springfield, passed away on Sunday morning, June 10, 2007 in the Community Hospital.
He was born on October 9, 1924 in Springfield, the son of Melvin W. and Dehlia (Oaks) Haley.
He worked for many years in the family business, a former member of the Union Club and Teamsters Local 954.
Babe is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Melvina and Gray McClary of Coal Grove, Ohio, Rosa and Dan Tuttle of Springfield, and Glenda and Bob Hawkins of Cardington, Ohio; one son and daughter-in-law, Ben and Dora Haley of Springfield; ten grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Betty Flannigan of Springfield; brother-in-law, John Ruse of Pataskala, Ohio; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Lula Haley in 1998; two sisters, Eileen Boyd and Thelma Crothers; one brother, Jack Haley; and one grandson, Jason Haley.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Monday, June 11, 2007 from 6-8 p.m. in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME where the service will be held on Tuesday at 12:00 p.m. with Pastor Buddie Tuttle officiating.
Burial will be in Ferncliff Cemetery.
