Harry Henderson
Harry Henderson, 89, of Springfield, formerly of Cranford, New Jersey, passed away on Saturday, August 2, 2008 in the Ohio Masonic Home where he has resided for five years.
He was born on April 24, 1919 in Glasgow, Scotland the son of James Alexander and Katherine (Bell) Henderson.
Harry proudly served his country in the Scottish Royal Infantry and held the rank of Captain. He came to the United States in 1938 and after several brief jobs he began a career in metal sales with Belmont Metals where he retired after thirty years of service. He received his fifty year mark as a Mason and loved to play golf.
He is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Clyde and Pam Henderson of Florence, Oregon; two daughters and sons-in-law: Gail and Paul Massie of Jackson, New Jersey; and Laura and Samuel Brown of Pataskala, Ohio; one brother and sister-in-law, Leslie and Jackie Henderson of Thorpe Bay, England; and six grandchildren: Jennifer, Douglas, Michael, Lauren, Paige, and Garrett.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Annette and his parents. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 9, 2008 a the Ohio Masonic Home Chapel. The family is being served by the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME.
