Ira "Doc" Grabill


Ira "Doc" Grabill, 86, of Springfield, died Tuesday January 29, 2008 in Community Hospital.

He was born January 1, 1922 in London, Ohio, the son of Ira Sr. and Vonna (Switzer) Grabill.

Doc served his country during World War II in the United States Marine Corps. He was a retired Deputy for the Clark County Sheriff's Department.

Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Karen and Tom Brandt of Brookville, Sally and Richard Overholser of Springfield; two sons and daughters-in-law, Mike and RoAnn Adams of Overland Park, Kansas and John and Terry Grabill of Springfield; step-sons, Ed Shaw of Colorado and Timothy Shaw of Dayton; sister, Ruth Jane Lorton of North Hampton; fifteen grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Eurith "Judy" Grabill; son, Steven J. Adams; sister, Mary Margaret Ludwig; brother, Richard Grabill.

At Ira's request private services will be held for the family.

The family is being served by LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME.
