Ruth Ann Ferryman

Ruth Ann Ferryman, 82 of Springfield died of natural causes following a lengthy decline in health, on December 11, 2007 in the Heartland Care Center.

She was born 21 February 1925 to William Ream and Ethel Mae Shroades.

Mrs. Ferryman graduated from Springfield High School, worked at Wright Field during WWII, a longtime member of Oakland Presbyterian Church, and was a resident of Springfield her entire life.

She married Carl Wendell Ferryman of Cedarville who preceded her in death, and she gave birth to four children, three of whom survive her, Peggy (David) Miller of Springfield, and Randy (Mary Ellen) Ferryman of McClain, Va., and Wendy Roxanne Ferryman of Clearwater, Fl. Pamela Chapman, her daughter, died in 1998, also three brothers Frank, John, and Charles Shroades preceded her in death. Ruth is also survived by six grandchildren, Jimmy, Jeff, Chris, Mindy, Crystal, and Robbie, and several great-great grand children, nieces, and nephews.

Services will be Thursday at 1:00PM in the Richards, Raffs and Dunbar Memorial Home with Rev. Orbie Estep officiating. A gathering of friends and family will be one hour prior to services. With private entombment in Rose Hill Mausoleum.
