Cheryl R. Fent, 47, of Springfield, died unexpectedly Sunday morning, December 23, 2007 in Mercy Medical Center.

She was born in Irvin, Kentucky on May 5, 1960 the daughter of James Brandenburg and Charlene (Smith) Aper.

Survivors include her father and step-mother, Jim and Rebecca Brandenburg; mother and step-father, Charlene and Ed Aper; beloved companion of 20 years, Harry Fisher; three daughters, Dawn Fent (Jeremy Schnitzler), Brittany Fent (Tia Williams) and Kayli Haynes; and grandchildren, Harley "Pooh Bear" Holsinger, L.J. "Tigger" Schnitzler and Hillary Williams. Also surviving are three sisters, Beth (Steve) Anon, Amy Brandenburg and Kelli Brandenburg (Rick Boring); two brothers, Charles David Brandenburg (Treva Hooten) and James F. (Jenny) Brandenburg; many nieces and nephews; and dear friends, Bessie and William Johnson.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Mark Fent in 1984.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home with Rev. Paul Price officiating.

Burial will be in Rose Hill Burial Park
