Ada Mae Frye


Ada Mae "Amy" Frye, 82, of Springfield, died at 9:12 p.m. Wednesday, August 20, 2008 in the Ohio Masonic Home. She was born April 15, 1926 in Ellinwood, Kansas to John August and Florence E. (Younkin) Hahn.

She had worked as an admitting clerk at Mt. Carmel West Hospital in Columbus for 20 years and also had a practice in Chiropractic Medicine. She was a member of the Carpe Diem Sorority, past president of Emerson PTA, active with the Cub Scouts and a member of the Women's Town Club.

Survivors include three children and spouses; Andrew Hahn (Linda) Frye, Springfield, OH Gregory L. (Barbara) Frye, Urbana, OH and Karen J. Frye, Columbus, OH; a grandson, Donnie Paul Miller, Columbus.

Her husband, Richard C. Frye and a sister, Florence Widener, preceded her in death.

A Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Trinity Lutheran Church with Pastor Roger Herrig officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior in the church. Family request memorial donations to the Alzheimer's Association<, 3797 Summit Glen Dr., Suite G100, Dayton, OH 45449. Arrangements by the Conroy Funeral Home.
