Carolyn P. Hood-Elkins


Carolyn P. Hood-Elkins, 57, of Springfield, Ohio passed away December 10, 2008 in the OSU Medical Center.

Carolyn was born January 3, 1951 in Springfield a daughter of Elwood "Woody" and Willa Mae (Embry) Hood. Carolyn had been employed by the Clark Shawnee School District as a teacher.

She leaves to cherish her memory her loving and devoted son; Arthur Allen Elkins, her father; Elwood "Woody" Hood, brothers; Steven (Clara) Hood all of Springfield, Ohio, David (Jennifer) Hood of Waynesville, Ohio, sisters; Marilyn Hill of Springfield, Ohio and Camille Milks of Great Falls, Virginia, special friends; Jim Vittek of Chagrin Falls, Ohio, Emily Lucas and Varga Berrien both of Springfield, Ohio and a host of other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother.

Visitation for Mrs. Elkins will be Sunday from 5-7 p.m. in Greater Grace Temple 380 W. Leffel Lane. Funeral services will follow in the church at 7 p.m. According to her wished, Carolyn will be cremated.

Memorial contributions may be made to Greater Grace Temple Foreign Missions.
