Gwelda M. DeMoss


Gwelda M. DeMoss, of Springfield entered the Church Triumphant on Tuesday May 6, 2008 at the age of 88.

Gwelda was born on June 21, 1919 in Clark County. She was the daughter of Arnold and Ethel (Clark) Dingeldein.

She married Paul DeMoss Sr. on August 27, 1938. Gwelda was Executive Secretary to Community Hospital's Administrator for over 35 years, was former owner of DeMoss Pastries and a life long member of the Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church.

She is survived by son, Paul W. Jr. (Sue) DeMoss; four grandsons, Michael (Kimpy) Hawk, Perry (Danielle) Roeser, Rodney (Mitzi) Roeser, and James (Kathy) DeMoss; two granddaughters, Rebecca (Bob) Greene and Sherri (Brad) Wagner; numerous great grandchildren; great-great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul W. DeMoss Sr; her parents; daughter, Dian C. Leslie; one grandson, Jeffrey DeMoss; one great-grandson, Justin Roeser.

Visitation will be held 6-8 PM Thursday May 8, 2008 in the JACKSON LYTLE WILLIAMS Funeral Home where service will be held 11AM Friday May 9, 2008, with one hour prior viewing, with Pastor Daniel M. Powell officiating. Interment to follow in Ferncliff Cemetery.
