Elsie Edith Dillon


Elsie Edith Dillon, 104, of Springfield died Monday, July 21, 2008 in Good Shepherd Village.

She was born April 25, 1904 in Streeter, West Virginia the daughter of Abraham and Nancy (Johnston) McKinney and was a member of Emery Chapel United Methodist Church.

She is survived by a step son and daughter-in-law Ronald E. and Zoe Dillon with whom she resided; five grandchildren Dick(Carol) Dillon of Tucson, Arizona; Deborah (Gerald) French, Diane (Shean) Langen, Cheryl (Mark) Collier and James E. (Danielle) Dillon, all of Springfield; nine great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren and a niece Fern (Ed) Muse of Fuquay Varina, North Carolina.

She was preceded in death by her husband Ferrie Dillon in 1980; four brothers and two sisters.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11:00 AM in the RICHARDS, RAFF & DUNBAR MEMORIAL HOME with Pastor William S. Kelley officiating. The family will receive visitors Saturday from 10-11 AM. in the Memorial Home. Burial will be in Ferncliff Cemetery.
