Robert E. Cost

Robert E. Cost, 91, of Springfield died at 7:03 p.m. Monday, September 24, 2007 in his residence.

He was born June 12, 1916 in Springfield, Ohio the son of Fern (Cost) Sindle Johnson. He retired in 1982 from the International Harvester Co. after thirteen years of service. He is a member of Hope Lutheran Church and was a US Army WWII veteran where he was awarded the Purple Heart.

Survivors include two sons and spouses Ronald and Sandra Cost , Gary and Donna Cost , all of Springfield, seven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a special friend Darcy Cost. He was preceded in death by his wife Betty Jane in Nov. 2006.

Friends may call from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday in the Conroy Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday in Hope Lutheran Church. Burial will be in Ferncliff Cemetery. Donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
