Maria Concepcion Crabbe


Maria Concepcion (Estevez) Crabbe, 83, of Springfield, was ushered into eternity Saturday afternoon, March 8, 2008 in Oakwood Village Glaesner Care Center surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Anasco, Puerto Rico on December 9, 1924 the daughter of Fernando and Maria (Iturrino) Estevez.

She was a member of St. Teresa Catholic Church and the Northridge Lioness Club.

Survivors include her three children and spouses, David and Barbara Crabbe of Springfield, Judy and Rob Kearns of Springfield and Diana and John Finney of Dublin; ten grandchildren, Laura (Keith) Clay, Chris Daugherty and Rodney (Lisa) Daugherty, Lauren (Patrick) Sell, Carolyn Kearns, Jenny (Eric)Biddle, Katie and Anna Baylor, and Gretchen and Johnathon Finney; eight great grandchildren, Sydney and Sophie Clay, Dustin, Ciara and Zoie Daugherty, Brendon Finney, and Ava and Landon Biddle; and a sister, Monsarate Estevez-Iturrino of Puerto Rico. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 56 years, Donald M. Crabbe in 2006 and ten brothers and sisters.

The family would like to express their thanks to the staff of Oakwood Village and Dr. Nha To for the compassionate and professional care given to Maria.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 a.m. Thursday in St. Teresa Church with Fr. Ed Gearhart, Celebrant.

Burial will be in Ferncliff Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Teresa Church, 1829 N. Limestone St., Springfield, Ohio 45503.
