Darlene Capper
Darlene Capper, 79, of Springfield passed away peacefully Monday morning, August 6, 2007 in the Community Hospital with her loving family by her side.
She was born December 5, 1927 in Lawrence County, Ohio, the daughter of John Oak and Bessie (Burcham) Callicoat.
Darlene enjoyed gardening and will be sadly missed by everyone who knew and loved her.
Survivors include four daughters and two sons-in-law, Peggy and John Wowas, Cathy and Karen Capper and Jeanie and Billy Maynard all of Springfield; four sons and a daughter-in-law, Danny and Marilyn Capper and Jimmy, Steve and Mark Capper all of Springfield; two sisters, Betty Cardwell of New Orleans and Charlene Callicoat of Springfield; one brother and sister-in-law, Bobby and Peggy Callicoat of Proctorville, Ohio; 18 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leo Capper in March of 1996; five sons; one sister and two brothers.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Wednesday, August 8, 2007 from 6-8 p.m. in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home.
Burial will follow in the Ferncliff Cemetery.
