Lloyd E. Brinkley


Lloyd E. Brinkley, 67, of Tremont City, passed away on Tuesday, December 23, 2008 in his residence.

He was born on September 30, 1941 in Promise City, Iowa the son of Raymond and Pauline (Potter) Brinkley.

He graduated from West High School in Davenport, Iowa in 1961. He worked at International Harvester for forty years starting on January 24, 1964 at the Rock Island, Illinois plant and retired on March 31, 2004 from the Springfield plant. He was a member of the UAW Local 402.

He is survived by his wife of eighteen years, Karen P. (Witt) Brinkley of Tremont City; one step daughter and son-in-law, Heather and Jerry Wilkins Jr. of Davenport; brother and sister-in-law, Robert "Donnie" and Lonnie Brinkley of Walcott, Iowa; mother-in-law, Joyce Witt, Geneseo, Illinois; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Boyd and Ronald, and one nephew, Donald.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.

The family is being served by the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY.
