Leah N. Bishop
Leah N. Bishop, 86, of Springfield, died Thursday morning, August 23, 2007 in Hearth & Home El Camino.
She was born August 27, 1920 in Berkeley, California, the daughter of Henry and Emma (Campbell) Nicklas. Leah was known to her friends for her generosity and caring for others. She was a member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church and Order of the Eastern Star. She had been member of Mitchell Hills Club, Springfield Country Club, and the Women's Town Club.
Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and John Prafke of Punta Gorda, Florida and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Donald J. (Don) to whom she was married for 58 years; son and daughter-in-law, Donald Alan and Pamela Bishop; and sisters Phyllis Clements and Olive Smoot.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. in Grace Lutheran Church with Pastor Daniel M. Powell officiating.
Interment will follow in Ferncliff Cemetery. Contributions in Leah's memory may be made to Grace Lutheran Church, 1801 St. Paris Pike, Springfield, Ohio 45504.
