Lee W. Beiers
Lee W. Beiers, 73, of Springfield, passed away Sunday morning, January 27, 2008 in Kindred Hospital, Dayton.
He was born in Columbus, Ohio on April 29, 1934 the son of Ernst and Susie P. (Spear) Beiers.
Lee retired from the Ohio Air National Guard and the United States Air Force after over 30 years of service and later from Sheehan Brothers Vending Service after five years of service. He was a member of various military, fraternal and Masonic organizations in the Springfield area.
Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Caroline S. (Reese) Beiers; son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Kelly Beiers of Springfield; step-son, Greg (Beth) McDonald of Huber Heights; daughter-in-law, Mandy McDonald of Orange Park, Florida; three grandchildren, Shelby Beiers and Nicole and Austin McDonald; and two step-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Charles Beiers, and step-son, Brian McDonald.
A celebration of Lee's life will be held Saturday, February 9, 2008 at 5:00 p.m. at the D.A.V. (Disabled American Veterans), 2410 Mechanicsburg Road, (next to Patton Power Equipment and Mic's Restaurant) Springfield.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
