Elsie Mae Beason


Elsie Mae Beason, 82, of Urbana, fell asleep in death at 7:25 a.m. Sunday, April 29, 2007 at the Wellington.

She was born February 5, 1925 in Springfield the daughter of Willie and Virginia (Nichols) Pedigo. Mrs. Beason was a member of the Lawrenceville Church of God and had been employed at Crowell Collier and William Bailey.

Elsie loved her family dearly and was a very devoted and caring wife and mother. She will be remembered as a kind and gentle person who was loved by all who knew her. Survivors include one daughter, Kimberly Bevan, Springfield; a very special friend, Scott Pendleton, Springfield and three grandchildren, John, David and Rachel Bevan. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dwight Beason in 1986.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the JONES-KENNEY-ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Alan Cain and Rev. Clifford Kissinger officiating. Friends may visit with the family for one hour prior to the services. Burial will follow in Vale Cemetery. Memorial contributions, if desired, may be made to the Parkinson Association.
